About Norm
After graduating with his MBA and doing a lot of soul searching, Norm was counselled to try accounting. He signed up for his CGA schooling, found a position as an accounting technician with a medium sized firm, and realised he had found his calling.
He later moved out of public accounting and into the oil and gas field, first as comptroller for a small company and then as a contract joint venture auditor. He loved the work, and eventually became the only non-designated accountant to serve as President of the Petroleum Accountants Society of Canada.
His wife, a CPA, had long wanted her own firm. They moved to Nanaimo and opened it together, with Norm taking on the role of managing partner and leading marketing for the firm.
