Business Unlimited Network is a business community designed to bring business owners and professionals together through meaningful relationships, learning, collaboration, Trusted Introductions™, community involvement and business-development opportunities.

BUN may offer:

• Business Growth Meetings
• Networking events
• Keynote presentations
• Workshops
• Educational programs
• Online communities
• Trusted Partner Hub resources
• Digital products
• Business resources and templates
• Coaching or accountability opportunities
• Podcasts, videos and other content
• Trusted Partnership opportunities
• Other business, educational or community-related services

Offerings may evolve over time.

2Trusted Partnerships

Becoming a BUN Trusted Partner is subject to a separate Business Unlimited Network Trusted Partner Agreement & Culture Commitment.

That agreement governs matters specific to Trusted Partnership, including:

• The annual Trusted Partnership term
• Partnership fees and payment obligations
• Protected Business Categories
• Trusted Partner benefits
• Community conduct
• Confidentiality
• Intellectual property
• Electronic communications
• Suspension or termination
• Refund provisions
• Renewal
• Privacy and media preferences
• Other Trusted Partnership rights and responsibilities

The Trusted Partner Agreement specifically establishes a one-year commitment and identifies Trusted Partner benefits in Schedule A.

If These Terms Conflict with the Trusted Partner Agreement

3Eligibility

BUN’s business networking services are primarily intended for adults who own, operate, represent or are professionally involved with a business or organization.

By making a purchase, entering into an agreement or registering for a paid BUN service, you represent that you have the legal capacity and authority to do so.

If you are acting on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to act on its behalf.

4Website Use

You agree to use BUN websites and digital services only for lawful purposes.

You may not:

• Use the website fraudulently or unlawfully
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to BUN systems
• Interfere with website security or functionality
• Upload malicious code
• Scrape or systematically extract BUN content or directory information without permission
• Impersonate another person
• Submit false or misleading information
• Use BUN systems to harass, threaten or harm another person
• Use contact information obtained through BUN for spam or unauthorized solicitation
• Copy, reproduce or commercially exploit BUN intellectual property without authorization

BUN may suspend or restrict website or platform access where reasonably necessary to protect BUN, our users or our systems.

5Event Registrations and Guest Attendance

BUN may offer in-person and virtual events, including Business Growth Meetings, networking events, keynote presentations, workshops, social gatherings and educational events.

Event details may include:

• Date
• Time
• Location
• Guest fee
• Capacity
• Registration deadline
• Food or beverage expectations
• Attendance restrictions
• Cancellation policy
• Other event-specific conditions

These details form part of the terms of your registration.

Registration Does Not Guarantee Admission in All Circumstances

BUN may refuse or cancel a registration where reasonably necessary because of:

• Event capacity
• Safety concerns
• Duplicate or inaccurate registrations
• Payment issues
• Conduct concerns
• Event cancellation or rescheduling
• Other reasonable operational circumstances

Where BUN cancels a paid registration for reasons within BUN’s control and is unable to provide a reasonable alternative, BUN will generally refund any applicable event fee paid directly to BUN. However, no refund may be available where the cancellation or restriction is caused by circumstances beyond BUN’s reasonable control, or where otherwise stated in the applicable event terms or cancellation policy.

6Event Attendance and Conduct

BUN events are intended to create professional, welcoming and relationship-focused environments.

Guests and attendees are expected to:

• Treat others respectfully
• Behave professionally
• Avoid harassment, bullying or discriminatory behaviour
• Respect personal and professional boundaries
• Avoid aggressive sales tactics
• Respect confidential information
• Follow reasonable venue and BUN instructions
• Comply with applicable law

BUN may ask an attendee to leave or may restrict future attendance where conduct creates a significant concern for the safety, integrity, reputation or experience of the BUN community.

7Photography, Video and Events

Photography or video may occur at BUN events.

General event photography may include attendees incidentally and may be used, subject to applicable consent and privacy requirements, for purposes such as:

• BUN websites
• Social media
• Marketing
• Event recaps
• Public relations
• Community communications
• Educational materials

Where an individual is the primary subject of a testimonial, interview, podcast, promotional video or similar feature, BUN will seek appropriate consent where required.

Trusted Partners have additional media-preference provisions under their Trusted Partner Agreement.

8Payments

BUN may accept payment through methods made available at checkout, which may include:

• Credit card
• Debit card
• Electronic funds transfer
• eTransfer
• Other approved payment methods

By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the applicable payment method and authorize BUN or our payment processor to charge amounts associated with your purchase.

All prices are stated in Canadian dollars unless otherwise indicated. Applicable taxes may be added.

BUN may refuse, suspend or reverse a transaction where we reasonably believe:

• Payment information is unauthorized
• A transaction is fraudulent
• A transaction violates applicable law
• A material pricing or processing error has occurred

Third-party payment processors may apply their own terms and privacy policies.

9Trusted Partnership Fees

Trusted Partnership fees are governed primarily by the signed Trusted Partner Agreement.

That Agreement provides for an annual fee plus applicable taxes and allows either an annual payment or, where offered, an approved instalment arrangement. It also establishes that an instalment plan does not convert the Trusted Partnership into a month-to-month arrangement.

Trusted Partnership renewal is not automatic unless a Trusted Partner separately authorizes an automatic renewal arrangement.

10Event, Product and Service Refunds

Event Registrations, Workshops and Special Events

Failure to attend, arriving late, leaving early, a change in personal circumstances, scheduling conflicts or no-shows do not create an entitlement to a refund.

At BUN’s discretion, a registration may be transferred to another eligible person or credited toward a future BUN event where operationally reasonable, but BUN is not required to provide a transfer or credit.

If BUN cancels an event and does not offer a reasonable alternative, applicable registration fees paid directly to BUN will be refunded.

Nothing in this section limits any cancellation or refund right that cannot legally be waived under applicable consumer-protection legislation.

11Online Purchases and Distance Sales

Where applicable consumer legislation governs an online purchase, BUN will comply with mandatory disclosure, contract-copy, cancellation and refund obligations.

For certain electronic distance sales contracts in British Columbia, suppliers must make required information available before purchase and provide an opportunity to correct errors and accept or decline the contract. The legislation also requires a copy of qualifying distance sales contracts within prescribed timelines.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove statutory rights that cannot legally be waived.

12Third-Party Goods and Services

BUN may:

• Recommend third-party services
• Host meetings at third-party venues
• Link to third-party businesses
• Use third-party technology
• Feature Trusted Partner businesses
• Facilitate introductions between participants
• Share educational information from external sources

Unless expressly stated otherwise, third-party businesses are independent from BUN.

BUN does not control and cannot guarantee the quality, availability, accuracy, reliability, safety, suitability or performance of third-party goods or services.

Your decision to engage a third party is between you and that third party.

13Trusted Partners Are Independent Businesses

Each BUN Trusted Partner operates their own independent business or professional practice.

This is also expressly stated in the Trusted Partner Agreement.

BUN does not supervise or control the products, services, professional advice or business practices of individual Trusted Partners.

14Trusted Introductions™

BUN creates opportunities for people to meet and build relationships that may lead to Trusted Introductions™.

A Trusted Introduction is not:

• A guarantee
• A professional recommendation
• A warranty
• A certification
• A representation that a business is suitable for your particular circumstances

You remain responsible for conducting your own due diligence before:

• Hiring someone
• Purchasing a product or service
• Entering a contract
• Making an investment
• Acting on advice
• Making a referral
• Entering a partnership or other business relationship

The Trusted Partner Agreement applies the same due-diligence principle to Trusted Introductions.

15No Guarantee of Results

BUN provides environments, education, resources and opportunities designed to support business relationships and growth.

BUN does not guarantee:

• Referrals
• Trusted Introductions
• Clients
• Customers
• Contracts
• Revenue
• Sales
• Business growth
• Investment opportunities
• Partnerships
• Profit
• Any particular result

Results depend on numerous factors outside BUN’s control, including participation, implementation, contribution, business circumstances, market conditions, professionalism, relationship-building and follow-through.

This principle is also incorporated into the Trusted Partner Agreement.

16Educational Information Only

BUN may provide presentations, workshops, Learning Moments, articles, podcasts, templates, discussions and other educational content.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, this information is provided for general educational and informational purposes.

BUN does not itself provide:

• Legal advice
• Accounting advice
• Tax advice
• Investment advice
• Financial advice
• Medical advice
• Other regulated professional advice

Individual presenters or Trusted Partners may hold professional qualifications in their own fields. Any professional relationship or advice provided by that person is separate from BUN.

You should obtain appropriate independent professional advice for your individual circumstances.

17User and Trusted Partner Content

BUN may allow people to submit blog articles, videos, comments, testimonials, photographs, business profiles, presentations, templates, educational resources and other content.

You are responsible for ensuring that content you provide:

• Is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• Does not infringe another person’s intellectual property
• Does not unlawfully disclose confidential information
• Does not violate privacy rights
• Is not defamatory, deceptive or unlawful
• May lawfully be provided to BUN

Additional content-licensing terms apply to Trusted Partners under their Trusted Partner Agreement. Trusted Partners generally retain ownership of original content while granting BUN a non-exclusive licence for agreed BUN publication and promotional uses.

18BUN Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, BUN owns or has permission to use content and intellectual property associated with its business and platforms, including:

• Business Unlimited Network name
• BUN logos
• Brand assets
• Website content
• Learning materials
• Templates
• Systems
• Program names
• Presentations
• Graphics
• Videos
• Written materials
• Other proprietary resources

You may not reproduce, distribute, adapt, sell, license, publish or commercially exploit BUN intellectual property without written permission, except where expressly permitted.

Trusted Partners have limited branding rights while active and in good standing under the Trusted Partner Agreement.

19Directory Information

BUN may publish a Trusted Partner Directory.

Information displayed in the directory is supplied or approved by the applicable Trusted Partner.

Although BUN may make reasonable formatting or administrative edits, BUN does not independently verify every representation made in a Trusted Partner profile.

Directory information is provided to facilitate connection and relationship-building. It should not be interpreted as certification, professional verification or endorsement by BUN.

20Electronic Communications

BUN may send administrative, transactional and, where permitted, promotional communications by email, SMS or text, WhatsApp, community platforms and other electronic channels.

Where Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation applies to a commercial electronic message, BUN intends to use an appropriate basis for sending the message, identify the sender, provide required contact information and include an appropriate unsubscribe mechanism.

Trusted Partners are responsible for complying with applicable electronic-marketing and privacy laws when using information obtained through BUN. This obligation is also expressly included in the Trusted Partner Agreement.

21Privacy

Your use of BUN websites, forms, events and services is also subject to the Business Unlimited Network Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information.

Where appropriate, separate consent may be requested for:

• Marketing communications
• Directory publication
• Contact-sharing
• Photography and video
• Testimonials
• Podcasts
• Featured promotional content

22Links to Other Websites

BUN websites may contain links to websites operated by other organizations.

BUN does not control those websites and is not responsible for their content, security, availability, products, services, privacy practices or terms and conditions.

You are encouraged to review the applicable policies before using third-party websites or services.

23Website Availability

We aim to keep BUN websites and online services available and functional but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

Access may occasionally be affected by:

• Maintenance
• Technology failures
• Internet outages
• Cybersecurity incidents
• Third-party platform interruptions
• Events outside BUN’s reasonable control

BUN may modify, suspend or discontinue website functionality where reasonably necessary.

24Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Business Unlimited Network and its founders, directors, officers, employees, contractors, representatives, affiliates and volunteers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages or losses arising from or connected with:

• Your use of BUN websites
• BUN events
• Products or services
• Business relationships
• Trusted Introductions
• Third-party services
• Technology platforms
• Information or content supplied through BUN

This includes, where permitted by law, loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill, data or anticipated savings.

Where permitted by law, BUN’s aggregate liability relating to a particular paid BUN product, service or event will not exceed the amount actually paid by you to BUN for the product, service or event giving rise to the claim.

Trusted Partnership claims remain subject to the more specific limitation-of-liability provisions in the Trusted Partner Agreement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

25Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless BUN and its founders, directors, officers, employees, contractors, representatives, affiliates and volunteers from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and reasonable legal expenses arising from:

• Your unlawful or improper use of BUN services
• Content you submit
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your infringement of another person’s rights
• Your products or services
• Misrepresentations made by you
• Your negligent, wrongful or wilful conduct

Trusted Partners are also subject to the specific indemnification provisions contained in their Trusted Partner Agreement.

26Consumer Protection

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, or other applicable consumer-protection legislation.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and mandatory consumer-protection law, the mandatory legal provision will apply.

British Columbia’s current legislation contains specific requirements for certain online and distance sales transactions, including disclosure, contract-copy and cancellation rights.

27Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in British Columbia.

Subject to any rights or procedures that cannot legally be waived, you agree to submit disputes arising from these Terms to the jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.

28Entire Agreement and Other Agreements

These Terms, together with applicable purchase terms, event terms, the Privacy Policy, the Trusted Partner Agreement, written service agreements and other terms expressly incorporated into a particular transaction, constitute the applicable agreement relating to the services they govern.

If another signed agreement expressly governs a particular BUN service, that agreement will prevail over these general Website Terms regarding that service to the extent of any inconsistency.

29Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary where possible.

The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

30Waiver

A failure or delay by BUN to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive that provision or BUN’s right to enforce it later.

Any waiver must be clearly communicated by BUN.

31Changes to These Terms

BUN may update these Terms to reflect:

• Changes to our services
• New products or programs
• Technology changes
• Operational changes
• Legal requirements
• Changes in business practices

The current version will be posted on the BUN website with the date it was last updated.

Material changes affecting an existing contractual relationship will be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement and legal requirements.

Changes to an active Trusted Partnership remain subject to the Trusted Partner Agreement.

32Electronic Acceptance

Where permitted by law, these Terms may be accepted electronically, including by:

• Selecting an acceptance checkbox
• Completing an online purchase
• Registering for a service where the Terms are clearly presented
• Signing electronically
• Other electronic means indicating agreement

Electronic acceptance may have the same legal effect as written acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
